Beauty is skin deep they say. I believe it ,You better start believing what they say. Nothing makes you look more beautiful than healthy glowing skin. Ever noticed the compliments with clear complexions skin receive? It’s thanks to their healthy skin care regime!

However, the first and foremost thing is often forgotten, our complexion. Having a clear complexion and healthy glowing skin enhances one’s beauty to levels which makeup and skin care products alone can never possibly attain. Skin care products do work miracles, however, nothing compares to having beautiful health.


EMBRACE ANTIOXIDANTS



  •  Anti – oxidants are something that prevent free radicals in your skin, thus making it look younger, tighter and healthier. Oxidation of skin is caused due to pollution, smoke and constantly facing the elements of nature (season change). What your skin needs is a safeguard against all these! And where do you get these safeguards? It’s easy; there are plenty of antioxidant rich foods to make your skin dance with joy. You can rely on berries as they are one of the richest sources of antioxidants – it’s the strawberry season – stuff up those for the season! Try the tuna fish salad or sub next time you are eating out – you’ll just up your antioxidant quotient. And if all this isn’t enough – sip on white tea and green tea – enough to arm you against those menacing free radicals.


    SIMPLIFY



    •  All that glitters isn’t gold. Just because that lipstick cost you a wallet scrunching amount of money does not ensure its quality. Be sensible about what you buy. Make sure what you buy suits your skin. Ask for expert help if required. And honey, don’t apply everything from your vanity closet on your face. Stick to ,cleanser, toner, sunscreen, moisturiser and light make up. You can look gorgeous with just this much!

    • You need sunscreen! Skin cancer cases world over are rising at an alarming rate. All it takes to protect yourself is some sunscreen. Anything with an SPF count of 15 is enough to keep you going. Don’t forget that sunscreens are not just for the summers – the sun rises during winters as well and can cause as much damage. So do yourself, your skin and your life a favour and use sunscreen!.

    • Hectic lives, hectic schedules, crazy working conditions, late night, early mornings, client screeming, boss yelling, life falling apart....sound familiar ? if all this gets you down ? how do you think your skin is going to react? your skin also needs relaxation. Skin is the largest organ of our body and you better pay attention to its need or its going to revolt one day. revolt with under eye dark circles, eye bags,wrinkles, and skin that looks dead. want to avoid this, then take a break relax your skin give it the pamper you take at times. give it a good night sleep, get your honey to massage you one day or book a exclusive distressing massage in a spa. one more tip use aromatic sea salt for bathing sometime. your skin will thank you and be faithfull for the whole life.       1. My 4 steps routine
      My usual routine is to shampoo and condition, then use a leave-in spray. Once a week, I use a mask for an extra treat. That’s my routine.

      2. Cool, cool, cool! Rinse with cool to warm water, never too hot and rinse thoroughly so that hair feels ‘squeaky clean’.

      3. Once a week, hair mask time
      Once a week, after shampooing, apply the mask to damp hair. Comb it through from roots to tips. Leave it in for five minutes to do its work, then rinse thoroughly.

      4. Cut little but oftenYou hair will be even more beautiful if you cut it regularly, between every 8 to 10 weeks. You don’t have to cut much, but do it at regular intervals.

      5. Wet hair is fragileNever brush wet hair—use a wide-toothed comb or your fingers to separate tangles before styling.

      6. Healthy life, healthier hair
      You will notice the condition of your hair improve if you eat a regular, healthy and varied diet. Both your skin and your hair will suffer if you do not take care of yourself.

      7. Take care of your hair during summer
      The colour, sheen, and condition of your hair can be diminished by sun, sea, and more in summer. Use a range with UV filters, such as a leave-in product, which can help prevent dryness.       10. And don’t forget, it is not how MUCH

      SKIN CLEANSER


      SKIN CLEANSER ESSENTIAL..

      Variety of products are available for cleaning skin. like soaps, face wash, cleansing milk, gel. Cleansing is very essential for health of skin to make it beautiful, flawless, healthy, glowing. So choosing a correct cleanser for your skin type is important.



      Widely used cleanser is soap. Soap has alkali in it , except dry skin others can use soap as cleanser. For dry skin special moisturizing soap are available. For oily skin soaps with glycerin are suitable.
      If one has body odor problem deodorizing soaps are available. However these soaps cannot be used to clean face. 


      Medicated soaps !!! ah many misconceptions are there in minds of people, that medicated soaps are the best . However everyone should take a note of this MEDICATED SOAP are to be used only on recommendation of a Doctor. They are made specially to treat not for daily use.

      Body shampoo, body wash are costly but can be used for all skin types.

      Sun Protection Factor

      We do lot many things to protect our skin from sun ......are they right. Read through & check what you do is right or no !!!!

      What SPF level is sufficient for most skin types? 


      Skin that is exposed to the sun on a daily basis should use a day skincare product that contains SPF (Sun Protection Factor).  SPF 8 is adequate for low exposure, SPF 15 is sufficient for medium exposure. For higher exposure SPF 30 is recommended. All of our Skincare products contain UVA and UVB protection. 
      For periods of longer term exposure (e.g. holidays, beach, outdoor sports), We recommend use of our sun care range of products which includes products up to SPF 40, and products specifically formulated for children.  For most skin types SPF 15 to 30 should be adequate, for children’s and adults with sensitive skin SPF of 30 or higher is recommended.
      It is important to apply SPF products regularly, and to use the recommended dosage for an average adult (5 - 6 teaspoons for a full body application).  Direct sun exposure should be avoided between 11am and 3pm as the sun’s rays are at their strongest at this time. 

      Skin Layers Exposed to sun  


      Our skin is made up of 3 layers 
      Dermis 
      Epidermis
      Hypodermis 

      All the three layers are exposed to sun. However different sun rays damage different layer of skin.
      Sun rays consists of UVA UVB & UVC rays .

      What is the difference between UVA and UVB? 

      The rays of the sun that are damaging to both skin and eyes are the invisible UVA and UVB, both with wavelengths ≤ 400nm. 

      UVB causes initial damage to the skin’s outer layer or epidermis, resulting in sunburn.  However, UVA rays penetrate deeper into the dermal layers of the skin and can destroy skin fibres, damaging the skin’s elasticity which can cause long-term effects such as premature ageing, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation.

      Swedish Spa Facial Treatment

      I have just started blogging to share my knowledge  from the field of beauty.

      I have been in this field from past 6 years.

      Helped many to fulfill their dream ..to have a flawless skin.

      Today I will be sharing how you can take care of your skin in summer and post summer.

      Got a fabulous spa treatment product to share with you.


      The spa treatment consists of 3 main products

      1. Spa scrub
      2. Spa Mask
      3. Spa Serum

      I purchased these from oriflame. They are suitable for all skin types.

      What it gives ?
      Swedish spa is made with special hydra care + technology
      Thus helps improve the water content of skin.

      1. Swedish Spa Smoothing scrub (75 ml-  for Rs.549/-)
                    : Smooths & improves skin with exfoliating particles as hydra care + softens & Malachite  hormonises .

      After using the scrub skin felt soft , hydrated ,one tone light , Glowing , i was amazed my skin did not turn red as it does when i scrub it,also did not dry when washed.


      2. Swedish Spa Purifying face Mask (50 ml for Rs.549/-)
                     : Deep cleansing mask with purifying Kaolin, detoxifying malachite & softening Hydracare +
      After use skin colour was worth praising, skin tone drastically changes (after bleach how skin gets fair it has same effect but no bleach wow !!! bleach does not suit me ), blackheads decrease in size in first use and gradually they disappear. Only problem is it being a sea algae(Malachite) mask it sticks to skin if kept for long or if you have oily skin, but no worries it can be cleaned by face wash or cleanser.

      3. Swedish Spa Rebalancing Serum :(40 ml for 890/-)
                     : Rebalance & beautify with protective Malachite, soothing sweet almond & softening hydracare +

      Oh !!!! my favorite why after i massages it to my skin i had no feeling i am applying some thing, other wise when i apply cream my skin starts becoming warm  as if it cant breath, It easily absorbed, no out bursts after using. Best part is its a serum : they go deep in our skin & work where as creams being thick only goes to the 2nd layer, this goes to 3rd layer of skin.

      How to use : 
      1st step : Clean you face with a face wash / Cleanser . It opens your pores & cleans them. If any make up is there it also removes it (For water proof make up first remove make up with make up remover then start ...)

      2nd step : Take a little bit of scrub in you finger apply on face in five dots (fore head, nose, chin, cheeks. also on neck , otherwise you face will be white & neck a tone dark)

      3rd step : Take a spoon of serum and apply in five areas and now massage for app 10-15 mins , do learn a bit of facial steps so you can pamper your skin . Why do we do this it helps skin absorb the serum which will keep the skin healthy for some days...

      4th step : Take cotton remove the excess serum if any. Dab face a bit wet if it has dried...now take little of mask on finger apply on five parts . Now how to spread the mask inner side to out & mid portion to outward portion. for neck give upward strokes. (thin coat for normal skin, thick coat for tan skin)

      5th step : Now remove the mask right way to remove it apply little water to face wet the mask massage it to deattach it from skin. Now wash it off. 

      Now take cotton and apply toner to it this helps to close pores. then a day cream if you are doing it in day time & night cream if doing at night.

      Do take proper cleanser & toner to maximize the results.

      So total worth for my 20 facials is 1886/-
      Costing app 100/- per facial. If i take the products at discount its less than that than.... :)"
      In parlours it cost not less than 500/- each facial.

      Effects of the facial :
      As termed in line. I used all these products with my Cleanser , toner & day cream gave me fabulous refreshing effect.
      My oily skin now is balanced & glows.
      Helped me remove my pimples marks.
      It removed my tan (by its regular use my T portion tan is gone)  My skin is now even toned.
      The best part is that it suites my very very sensitive skin.
      Season changes are not for me now.
      No stress is seen on my face (even if i am) before my face skin use to tell all about my inner state.

        Recommendation: Should use it  ( once in a life time product) every one should use it on regular bases to keep skin in a good condition. As now we have a lot of stress in life, also environment stress is also increasing.

      Skin care for you

Not just women, even men nowadays go through a great deal of trouble to take care of their skin and undergo various facials to look good. Skin, the real fountain of our overall health and well-being, performs a wide range of functions such as regulation of heat, water resistance, absorption, and of course, good skin is the ultimate sign of beauty. Given below are few basic skin care tips, cleansing practices and the foods that can give you a healthy skin. Read on !!!

      • People who are suffering from acne must make it a point to wash their face every day with warm water and a mild face wash.
      • Never over wash your face or scrub it too hard as this might lead to dry skin.
      • If there are any pimples on your face then take care not to prick it as this can lead to redness, swelling or even scarring. Better apply a good anti-pimple cream.
      • Before going to bed, remove any traces of makeup as these can block your skin pores leading to pimples, eye infections, lip discoloration and the like.
      • Keep your skin protected from the harmful rays of the sun by applying moisturizing cream or sunscreens. Overexposure to the sun may harm your skin in many ways. It also increases the risk of skin cancer and developing wrinkles.
      Skin Cleansing Practices
      • Mash a ripe banana with milk and apply the paste on the face. After twenty minutes wash it off with cold water. Repeat the process at least two to three times a week to make your skin flawless.
      • Gently apply honey on your face and neck and massage it in circular motion. Leave it for twenty minutes and later wash it with cold water.
      • Blend two tablespoon of honey with an egg white and apply it on your face and hands. Leave it for fifteen minutes and then wash with cold water.
      • To get rid of blackheads, pimples and wrinkles make a paste of fresh fenugreek leaves and apply it on your skin.
      • Combine one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice with one cup of sugar. Lather your face and body with any kind of mild soap and scrub the entire body with the mixture. Take a shower and you will have a radiating skin.
      Foods For Healthy Skin
      • Green tea is loaded with antioxidants and polyphenols, which makes it an excellent skin care agent. Research have shown that regular consumption of tea helps to reduce sunburns and skin damage caused due to overexposure to ultraviolet rays of the sun. Green tea also ranks high on vitamins D, C and K, zinc, riboflavin, calcium, iron and magnesium, which strengthens the skin.
      • The ingredients in blueberries are very good in making the skin look younger. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, which fight free radicals that does considerable damage to the skin cells. Besides, they are also an excellent source of soluble and insoluble vitamin E, fiber, manganese, vitamin C, and riboflavin.
      • Carrots contain vitamin A and high level of antioxidants that protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals. They are also a good source of other essential nutrients such as biotin, fiber, potassium, thiamine, vitamins K, C and B6.
      • The importance of drinking water for the health of the skin can never be understated. Water not only flushes out all the toxins from body but also aid in keeping the skin clear from all kinds of blemishes. Drink at least eight to ten glasses of water to get glowing skin.
